Pattern Description: Pullover dresses have bodice variations, elasticized (seamed) waist, and narrow hem. A and B: fitted bodice. C and D: mock wrap, very loose-fitting bodice with elasticized shoulders.
Designed for moderate stretch knits.
Pattern Sizing: S-XXL. I made the Large but it did run a bit big and long. I could have gotten away with a medium but, Large was the smallest size in my pattern envelope. I shortened it by 2 1/2 inches before cutting it out
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Sort of
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?Love the pattern. Just don't know if I love my finished garment. Give me your opinion after reading the conclusion.
Fabric Used: Some sort of polyester (Charmeuse maybe?)
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: The pattern calls for a knit and I used a woven instead and it ran big so be mindful of this when using a knit. material
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes I will try this view again. I have already made view B of this pattern before.
Conclusion: So....I ran out of material (I knew I didn't have enough prior to cutting the pattern out), I really really wanted to use this material for this dress so I decided to use a contrasting black material for the other front bodice piece. I knew it was a bad idea before I did it but forged on anyway. I'm really on the fence about how I feel with the finished dress. To me it looks mediocre and home made in a bad way. I went looking for more of the material but of course couldn't find it. Maybe if I change the thread from yellow to black on the black fabric that may make a difference. bodicewaistback What are your thoughts? Should I just scrap this or try changing the thread (neither of which I want to do).. Let me know!
