|Pattern Description: |
There is a cute overalls pattern, t shirt and the cardigan type top that I made reversible.
Pattern Sizing: 6 months up to size 3
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions are minimal. I wanted to make it reversible and then wasn't sure what to do with the sleeves. I finished each sleeve edge and then tried to insert ribbing. It was awkward and wasn't very even. However these are old projects I wanted to finish up and not get real putsy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
There has to be an easier way to make this reversible. I had fun doing a "funky" top with a sweat shirt fleece in a Peanuts print and then used Snoopy t shirt fabric for the other side. I used Velcro to finish it.
Fabric Used: t shirt fabric ( cotton/ poly? ) and sweat shirt fleece.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Made it reversible and tried to insert ribbing so it could really be worn on either side.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Unfortunately I don't think I'll have much need to make more baby clothes! It's an old pattern so I doubt it is available.
Conclusion: I think I bought these when Burda sold out their patterns that needed to have seam allowances added.
