This is a great book with basic patterns for baby clothing. This review is for the RED baby hoodie. I wanted to just edit the one I did for the magenta star sweatshirt fabric and replace the photo to the red one, but it isn't changing. There are before and after photos of all projects for the UFO contest on shutterfly. Pattern Sizing:
If I remember correctly the sizes are 3 months to 12 months.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow? yes they are.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the kwik sew books. I have baby, toddler and children's books. The instructions are always clear. I even called Kwik Sew once and begged them to update these books. Hasn't happened! Fabric Used:
I cut out 3 baby sweatshirt cardigan patterns. I have finished two so far,, the sweatshirt fleece star magenta and blue print and the solid red sweatshirt fleece. I finished the first one with coordinating snaps and the second one with Velcro for a fastener. We'll see if I finish the light pink one. It is only cut out.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I just cut out the basic cardigan sweat shirt.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Yes I would recommend it.
Conclusion: I sewed for my girls when they were babies and young children. I like having a basic t shirt pattern, pants, sweatshirt with numerous possibilities, etc. Don't pay attention to the outdated photos! Only bad thing is you do need to buy pattern drafting paper and trace them out, as the pattern is printed on both sides of the paper. If you're likely to do much sewing for children, this isn't a problem.
I also have a light pink sweat shirt fleece one cut out that I hope to finish by the end of the month. I sure hope I did the photo right!
