|Pattern Description: Women's and men's pants or shorts and robe. |
Pattern Sizing: BB (XL-XXXL). I made the pants in an XL.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, it did.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Absolutely. There are 10 steps to make the pants.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I wanted some comfy, loose fitting lounge/PJ pants, so this was a great pattern for me. I like that there aren't a ton of pieces for the pattern (front, back, elastic, and drawstring). I like that the suggested fabrics include cotton, flannel, fleece, cotton interlock, and jersey - all fabrics that I would think about using for these pants and/or shorts.
Fabric Used: I used Erin Michael's Sock Monkey quilting cotton fabric from her collection for Moda.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I had to lower the waistline and add 2" to the length of the legs.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I already have fabric picked out to make them in flannel. Yes, I would recommend the pattern.
Conclusion: I think this is a great pattern for loungewear/PJ pants. I do find them to be pretty loose fitting, so I will have to go down a size for sure if I make them in a fabric that has any stretch.
