|Pattern Description: |
I cut an extra small (33-34")
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, it did.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, the instructions were great though I stopped following them as I chose not to finish mine like a "proper" bra.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
It's very simple and there are only 3 main pieces to cut out.
I used jersey knit scraps.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I didn't use hooks or proper bra straps, just sewed everything together. As I made it in a jersey knit with elastic, it stretched over my head just fine.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, absolutely. In my blog post, I expressed some doubts about liking it because I wasn't sure how I looked in it (body issues, not the bra's fault), but after wearing it a few days, I am madly in love with it. It's so comfortable that I often forgot I was wearing it, which I don't think I've ever said about a bra before. I'm definitely making it again.
This is a great pattern. It's not your standard RTW bra in that it doesn't lift and support or push the girls out, but it's also comfortable and pain free and I like it so much better than anything I've ever bought.
