|Pattern Description: |
ROWE'S RAGLAN TUNIC/TOP: This interesting basic top/ tunic has a clever shaped “V” neck band, as always the raglan sleeve is flattering and comfortable, the back yoke sets this style apart from other basics.
Pattern Sizing:6-30 I made a 8, I think I am in between a 6 and 8 in the shoulders /bust for style arc.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?yep, except I made it into a longer dress
Were the instructions easy to follow?yes, although the whole v neck thing is something of a conudrum to me but I think this one turned out ok.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? am a sucker for easy carefree designs. The back yoke detail is really a nice added detail and I like the raglan sleeves. I like how it is loose but still has some shape. THe v neck is too low for me though. This seems to happen a lot for me, but I do have a very small bust.. I would raise it if I made it again. Also , I had to take in the cuff and lower part of sleeves, just too much extra there for my arms.
Fabric Used:some sort of poly knit from St.John's I got from Marcy Titlton. It is really quite lovely. It doesn't have much stretch but still have a great drape.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:took in the lower sleeves and lengthened into a dress vs tunic.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I don't need another dress like this but I do recommend it to others.
Conclusion: I love the dress,
