I have had this linen fabric in my stash for what seems like forever. It was given to me in the early seventies and had a lot of stains on it, too many to make a garment from, originally there was probably about 8 yards all together . I have soaked it in stain remover many times over the years and it is now quite soft and have cut out some bits of it and used it for various small items, some bits I used for testing embroidery designs which didn't matter if they had stains on them. I had nearly 3 yards left and was wondering how to use it. I was at my hairdresser's place and she showed me a teatowel that belonged to her grandmother and was lamenting the fact that it was worn out and I thought what nice linen it was and then I read a review in the stash contest where someone had made kitchen towels and I thought that's what I can do with that stained linen. They measure .75yd X .6yd, I hemmed them and then used a decorative stitch from my machine down each side. This is for the stash contest and some more fabric gone.
