|Pattern Description: Pullover dresses have bodice variations, elasticized (seamed) waist, and narrow hem. A and B: fitted bodice. C and D: mock wrap, very loose-fitting bodice with elasticized shoulders.|
I made the bodice from View D, with the maxi skirt from View B.
Pattern Sizing: I made an XS.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, very much, except that I combined two views!
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very straightforward. I read them once and then mostly went my own way, because I wanted to use my serger as much as possible. Do pay attention to seam allowance notes because you're making casings all over the place, using SAs.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the elastic in the shoulders. The dress is very easy-breezy and looks effortless. I do wish the bodice was a little smaller.
Fabric Used: Some sort of jersey from Girl Charlee. I got it in a Bargain Box so I'm not certain of what it is.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I cut the bodice with the stripes on an angle. I also shortened the skirt by about 3 inches (I'm 5'4").
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I'll definitely use this pattern again, probably all views and combinations!
Conclusion: More on my blog.
