Pattern Description: Girls Cheerleader costumes complete with different styles of skirts and tops. From this set i made the skirt and top type C for my 3 year old daughter. This is my second time at making this pattern.
Pattern Sizing: 2-6. I made size 2 for top and skirt.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes it did.
Were the instructions easy to follow? They were easy to follow and the pattern still came together well.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It is relatively easy to make with a lot of options and styles to choose from.
Fabric Used: Cotton
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Once again I didn't used the braiding or ribbon as requested in the pattern instead i substituted it with a cotton biased binding for the stripes.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I do recommend this pattern. It is a great pattern to make and looks authentic.
Conclusion: After making my first attempt my little one wanted an outfit too and wouldn't take no for an answer. She just couldn't wait to have one for herself. So I had to make her one as well as quickly as possible. For this one I decided to go for type C. I figured that it might have been a little quicker to make. Sewing the top I didn't have any issues with, it was just like sewing type E except the stripes are different. I was expecting that I would have to take the skirt in a little like I had to for my first attempt (type E), but for Mia I didn't have to. It fitted fine, but I think it's a short for her. I would have liked it if the skirt was a bit longer especially since she's only 3. However she does loves it.
