The Moss is a semi-fitted skirt that sits slightly below the natural waist and works up well in a variety of fabrics, from denim to wool to corduroy and many fabrics in-between. Skirt features a fly front and button closure as well as a yoke at the back. If mini isn't quite your style, add the hem band to create the longer silhouette of View B or use the hem band to get a little fancy like this. Pattern Sizing:
6-30. I made a 4. I generally wear a 2 or 4 in RTW. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?YEP!!!
Were the instructions easy to follow?pretty much, there is a zipper tutorial on her website as well.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I love this skirt. It fits me so well, I can hardly stand it. I love the pockets and I love how she so cleverly designed the pockets so as to fit your hands. There is not a thing I don't like about this pattern.
Fabric Used: A stretch coated denim from emmaonesock.com. It is a purple denim with some sheen to it. I love the coated denim look. I used a interfacing for knits from Off the Cuff site.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made this about 2 3/4 inches longer. I didn't want to add the band variation.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I cannot sew it again. I already have 2 others.
Conclusion: I am such a Grainline Studio patterns fan. THese patterns work for me without having to do more than lengthen them. These and a couple Style Arcs are my favorite patterns right now.
