16-24 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Most definitely! Were the instructions easy to follow?
For the most part yes, although the directions were a bit confusing when it came the button the placket and adhering the ribbon to it. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
There are few cardi patterns and I love to wear cardis, so why not make my own? I'm looking forward to sewing up another plus trying out the skirt and blouse patterns. Fabric Used:
Amethyst wool blend sweater knit Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I first made a muslin of the cardi with some yellow knit fabric which did not suit the pattern well (use a sweater knit!). I was able to see that I wanted to shorten the length of the cardi. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes! It's quick to put together and great to wear! I'd recommend making a muslin of it first to see how you like the fit. I put bias tape on the shoulders and the neckline and added ribbon the neckline, too. I did not have a serger at the time I made this and finished the edges with an overlock stitch on my sewing machine, which looks good, but serged seams will look better. Conclusion:
This is a great pattern with staple garments. I think I'll make the skirt next and the blouse and another cardi!
