Asymetrical hemmed three pocket skirt Pattern Sizing:
I bought the 44 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
It did! Were the instructions easy to follow?
Marfy do not send instructions. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked that it was unusual. Fabric Used:
Silk sateen with a cotton backing, its heavy but soft as butter Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I cut two inches off the lower hem line, its was a bit to severe. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I am going to start another one tomorrow that shows the details a little more and has a better fitting waistband. Conclusion:
I think for anyone who wants to try a Marfy this is a good one. The pattern pieces line up well, its a little challenging but so rewarding when it looks like it should and there are so many notations that its easy to do that! Prep work should include some medium weight interfacing/stbilizer on the pockets and some extra fabric for self lining them. I definitely have a slight issue with the way the waistband is sitting away from my waist but think a simple angled adjustment will solve it. I personally also think a muslin is a must just for a trial run....
