Pattern Description: Jersey top with sophisticated straps and low-cut hemline. Back View
Pattern Sizing: 36-44
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? It might just be me but I had an issue with this pattern. The instructions mentioned topstitching and if you look at the line drawing you will notice that there appears to be topstitching on both sides of all of the straps. I could not figure out how to do this since there was some twisting that had to occur in order for the seam where it appeared it needed to be. It was pretty simple except for the darned topstitching.
I finally decided to just topstitch where I could and forget about the rest. This worked out fine.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the "double" straps on this top. When it was finished I also like the shaped of the top. I found it flattering. You can't really see this in the magazine.
No dislikes except for the topstitching mentioned earlier and that could just be me.
Fabric Used: Cotton-lycra jersey
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None except for omitting some of the topstitching.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I probably will not sew this again as it is pretty distinctive and I have a mountain of patterns to sew thanks to everybody's wonderful reviews. I would recommend this pattern because I like the finished product.
Conclusion: I'm happier than I expected to be with this top. It is a great addition to my summer tops.
