I wear a bow tie everyday and I have made a lot of bow ties. You can find the hardware from Very reasonable and ships very quick. Also they have cumberbund hardware and clips for old fashioned bowties.

Thanks for the review, and the source for the hardware. Does the bowtie actually tie around the neck, or is it premade and fastened at the back with a clip? If it does, could you wrap the small section around the bow and then hand sew it together? I'm looking at a silk bowtie, and that's how it was made.
