Pattern Description: from the envelope: Misses Loose-Fitting Top In Two Lengths
Pattern Sizing: XS - XL all in one envelope; I chose the S based on the ease measurements on the tissue...S is a 42.5" bust. I could have made the XS even. I usually sew an 8 or 10 or a Small. So, lots of ease in this one.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I think so although I did a mashup of views A with C sleeves.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very easy
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like everything about this top pattern...no dislikes at all.
Fabric Used: OMG I love this fabric...it's been in my stash since May of 2012, from EOS and described as NY designer white windowpane weave cotton. It was a little tricky because the different weaves have different properties...the looser areas were stretchier, frayed more, and the tighter areas were opposite. Sometimes I would get a bit of waviness when pressing. I was very thankful for my serger on this one...before and after.
I used Palmer Pletsch Sheer Woven interfacing in the collar band and it really works like they say it does...you can't see it.
Buttons are from JoAnn's.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made view E with view C sleeves. I stabilized the front/yoke seams. There were no other alterations made.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes and Yes.
Conclusion: This is probably my favorite Simplicity top pattern now. I really love it and I'm sure I will make it again.
