|Pattern Description: |
This T-shirt is specifically made for petites, so no more t-shirts that can double as a tunic or hang out below a cardigan. Neckline is sexy, but not so much as you have to be in fear of bending over. All secure here.
XXS to 3X. I used XXS
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, except my sewing is not as good.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Instructions were AMAZING. Result very close to RTW!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved everything on top of the fact that it was free. It is truly rare to find a free pattern, perfectly drafted for a useful basic with a current cut!! Plus it's Petite friendly!!
Now one very minor dislike, it's a pdf pattern and it doesn't have marks to match the tiling. For a simple t-shirt it's ok but now I can't wait to try another one and I hope they have the marks!
Cotton jersey with probably some lycra in the mix that I bought in Pétion Ville, Haiti.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and Yes!! My only comments are about the length, next time I'll add 2" and I'm only 5'3", and the tightness, this is a very close fitting tee and you need to be careful about the recovery of your knit. Also, I want to try to make a looser version.
Great great great great pattern, great wardrobe builder, great instructions, great fit, great drafting, GREAT EVERYTHING AND IT'S FREEEEEE!
More details and pictures on my blog, where I'm also asking for advice to use my serger better...
