Pattern Description: CHILDREN’S AND GIRLS’ DRESSES AND SASH: Dress has self-lined bodice, pleated skirt, shoulder straps and back zipper.
Pattern Sizing: Child 6-7-8
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the pleats. This is a simple dress but the pleats create a nice full bodied skirt.
Fabric Used: Polished cotton from Beverlys Deal of the Day.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: My granddaughters are 5 and 7 but they both seem to wear a size 6 so I didn't make any changes. Both dresses are cut from the same size pattern.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Yes, this dress presents lots of options. It could be a cute jumper for winter if done in velvet or corduroy.
Conclusion: These dresses were very easy to put together. We will see if the girls end up preferring one dress over the other and fighting over that one! Probably, but I can't guess which one it will be.
