|Pattern Description: Close-fitting through bust, flared dress has lined bodice.|
Pattern Sizing: 6-20
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the youthful style of this and my daughter loved the pockets - perfect for sticking a phone and hotel key in so she didn't have to worry about bringing a purse. Also, the bodice is what usually gives me the most problems in fitting things for her...the fact that the strap length is adjusted after the bodice is constructed was very useful. I ended up taking off quite a bit of length in the straps for her petite frame.
Fabric Used: Red cotton broadcloth from Joann's
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I don't know if she needs another one of this style, but I would definitely recommend it to others.
Conclusion: My daughter wanted a fun red sundress to wear the last night of her church youth retreat to Florida (lucky!) and this was the pattern she selected. The result was a dress that she and I were both happy with and it suits her perfectly.
