|Pattern Sizing: 14|
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, except, you know, a dress. The picture looks a little funky because it's actually an in-progress pic--the dress is actually inside out with the side seams pinned together.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, very simple.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The pattern itself was really simple. I made it harder on myself by using a non-stretchy voile for the contrast, but it still turned out well. I will say that I match the size 14 measurements perfectly and it wasn't exactly fitted even where I didn't make alterations. The lower side of the front actually comes down lower than I expected, so trying to find a bra to wear with this could be an adventure. When I make it again, I'll cut the line at an angle that isn't so steep.
Fabric Used: Jet Set 100% poly knit for the body, voile for the contrast.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I lengthened the main dress pieces to be about 1 yard in length and flared both the front and back pieces out from the waistline to 30" at the hem. I cut a size 14 for most of it but a 16 at the armholes because I have problems with armholes fitting strangely. I also made it sleeveless.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Absolutely! I'm already planning another sundress version and a long-sleeved one for fall!
Conclusion: Very simple, forgiving pattern that yields a great result!
