Pattern Description: INFANTS’ DRESSES, PANTIES AND HAT: Sleeveless A-line dresses A, B or C have trimming variations, self facing, buttonhole and button closures at shoulders, crisscrossing at back; view B has optional self-faced patch pockets; panties and lined hat are also included.
Pattern Sizing:Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large (all in the same pattern). Pay attention to the corresponding weights (size small is for 13-15 pounders, for instance).
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?yes. I could have used more detailed instructions on the hat. It was hard to tell what to do with the seam allowances. It also would have been nice to have the starting and stopping place of the brim marked. I would have liked some general guidelines for the bloomer elastic since I couldn't measure on an actual baby.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I love the crisscross back. It's a very basic pattern but never goes out of style.
Fabric Used:cotton from Joann Fabrics
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I added one pocket instead of two. I also sandwiched my rickrack in between the lining and the outer layer instead of sewing it on top.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?yes and yes. I love this little style. Lots of opportunities for embellishments. Conclusion: A sweet little pattern. I wish it also came in extra-small. You can read a bit more here
