|Pattern Description: Who knew making pillowcases could be so fun? Great easy project for getting your sewing mojo back. I made 10 pillowcases for Rhonda's pillowcase drive for Mary Bridge Children's Hospital. They were so cute that I made 2 for myself. |
Were the instructions easy to follow? Come-on, it's a pillowcase! I used the instructions from Rhonda's blog. However, I did manage to mess up one and had to fix it. This is a great stash and remnant busting project. I also busted through my threaded bobbin stash too.
You need the following materials:
1) 1-25" x 40" piece of "main" fabric
2) 1-10" x 40" piece of "trim" fabric
3) 1-2" x 40" piece of "accent" fabric
The instructions are here: Pillowcase Instructions
Fabric Used: quilting cotton
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Yes and yes.
Conclusion: Great stashbusting project! I did this for the Fabric stash contest and managed to burn through 12 yards!
