Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, even cuter!
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Very easy to follow. I've made a tiered skirt for myself, so I mostly just used the pattern for the bodice sizing.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Instructions/pictures were very clear and easy to understand. I was able to cut out and sew the dress in about 4 hours.
Free Spirit, Silent Cinema line. I had initially purchased the fabric to make some napkins and placemats, but a dress for a 3 year-old birthday girl seemed more appropriate.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I opted to make the tie-back straps by cutting a 2" strip WOF. I folded the strip in half and then folded in the raw edges to encase. Seemed a bit easier then trying to sew with right sides together and turn. Back is seen here.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Already thinking about making view F with the ruffle sleeves. Highly recommend.
Think I might make one or two more for my niece, and I will definitely save this pattern for other little girls who may need dresses in the future.
