Baby overalls, vest, jacket and hat.
XS (newborn) to Large (18 months).
I used a Medium (12 month) size for the jacket I made.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Mostly, and the differences were due to my modifications
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Except that the instructions NEVER told me to attach the front and back pieces - they were pretty decent.
And I read them over several times trying to figure out where I missed a step, but for the jacket, it was simply NOT there.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I seriously disliked the missing instructions.
I used fleece for the lining, and some kind of laminated fabric for the outside.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I added a fleece lining to the entire jacket.
I omitted the ribbon / rick-rack stuff.
I left off one pocket - a baby doesn't really need pockets.
If I were to make it as a raincoat again, I would make it longer.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I'm looking forward to it.
A good friend is expecting a baby boy this fall . . .
Decent enough pattern for some baby basics, and cute.
I made it harder for myself by applying a lining that wasn't called for and having to muddle through how to do that on my own.
Also I used a material that wasn't the most suitable - the laminate is very sticky to sew with.
