Pattern Description: OOP Simplicity 3841 circa 1950's Misses Skirt in 2 views (V1 Pleated; V2 Gathered) w/Cumberbund. I made View 1.
Pattern Sizing: Waist 24; I altered Pattern for Waist 29.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I think it does minus the puffiness
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, if you remember sewing techniques from that era. I did.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I loved the double pleats that created the fullness.
Fabric Used: Very nice Voile with an attached taffeta slip lining.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Only that the pattern was for a size 24 waist and my Client is a perfect 29 waist. I also attached a gathered taffeta lining to make it stand out a bit.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I am sure I will...My Cousin has already asked for another for the Holiday Affairs she will be attending!!!
Conclusion: I love this era of Fashion!!! I learned how to sew this era of fashion and I love it!!!
