I reviewed this last year See here but thought I would review again as I have made it a longer cardigan by adding 5 inches in length.
Pattern Description: (from website)
ABBY CARDI: Great jersey cardi to have for all occasions, wear it over your cami or dress, knot it at the front or leave it casually hanging down casually. Optional 2 sleeve lengths
6 - 30
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes - but longer
Were the instructions easy to follow?
As written before SA instructions are sparse. This is the third time sewing the Abby (didn't put the second one on PR) so it is very easy now.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
It is quick and very easy. I really like the style of it and the waterfall front hides some of the body lumps and bumps. This is a great cardigan for an apple like me. It elongates the body and is very flattering.
A lovely teal slinky from EmmaOneSock
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
(in the last review I wrote: None this time but next time I make it I will choose a smaller size and then do a full bust adjustment as it is a little big in the sleeves and back) I did order 2 sizes smaller and this made the shoulders much more fitted. I then added an inch and half to the side seams and sleeves which gave the width I needed. I also added about 5 inches in length to make it a long cardigan.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I have sewn it 3 times and have another cut out. After that I think I will move on to the StyleArc Nina Cardigan.
