|Pattern Description: |
Misses’ & Miss petite dress in two lengths with pleated skirt and loose fitting cape jacket. Cynthia Rowley Collection.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes. I did version A of the pattern- the longer skirt and the short sleeves but I liked the neckline on version C better so I swapped out the bodice.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were easy to follow but the pleats on the sleeves and on the skirt are quite confusing to where the pattern exactly wants them to fold, start and finish.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked the pleats on this dress. They make the dress unique and professional looking.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I didn't make any changes to this pattern. The dress is true to it's measurements on the back so I suggest you check your measurements before choosing your size since the pattern sizing is not what you would wear in commercial clothing sizes.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I am going to sew this pattern again. I would like to try it with a solid color and the higher neckline.
I like the uniqueness of this dress and it came together nicely. The pleats are confusing but well worth it when finished.
