Pattern Description: This is a fantastic fake wrap dress, it is easy to make and wear, just slip it on. You have the choice of a cap sleeve or a long sleeve so it’s suitable for all seasons and occasions
Pattern Sizing: These patterns are one size and I made the size10. It fitted perfect on the shoulder but ran big down the side seams
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I think so
Were the instructions easy to follow? You need some experience with Stylearc Patterns as there are limited instructions. I find them relatively easy to follow. The plus about these patterns is that anything slightly unusual includes a diagram to show you how.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I really liked it, simple quick and in the right fabric can be quite striking. You are provided with true RTW techniques as part of these patterns. This like neck finishes etc. on knits make a huge difference.
Fabric Used: A slinky, nylon stretchy thing I bought eons ago at the cloth shop in Ivanhoe here in Melbourne.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I had to take about inch in on the side seams
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Absolutely would sew this again. I have two more pieces of fabric picked out. Its an easy dress to whip up and very comfortable to wear. Can dress it up or down.
I have also made the Kate Dress (review to follow)- I love a good wrap dress but found that the tie sits too high under the bust on the Kate. (I think i am a little too old for such a high dress) I think I will make a version of Suzie with a true wrap - given that the neck line sits beautifully.
I am a massive Stylearc fan - I have loads of patterns. I love everything about them. The service from Chloe and the team is wonderful.
