|Pattern Description: |
It's described as either a one piece body suit or separates, which I turned into a two piece swimsuit.
I cut a medium.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
No, I got terribly confused trying to assemble the pattern pieces once I cut them out, and I was only able to do it with someone's help. That being said, I know the pattern and the instructions are currently being revamped, so hopefully that issue will be solved once it's back in Ohhh Lulu's etsy store again.
To be fair, I did not tape everything together and then cut as was instructed. I just cut and then became confused so it might have been easier had I done that.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I LOVE the style. Once I got everything sorted, it was a breeze to sew, and it fits me perfectly.
As I mentioned before though, I had a lot of problems assembling.
A stretch spandex/nylon
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
No, I didn't make any.
I wanted to add gathers to the top, but I didn't cut it large enough. And I wanted to make the bottom have more coverage and also ruffles, but I was too lazy to do it. But maybe next time?
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I think I'll stick to this base for my next swimsuit, though I may make a few modifications. I would only recommend for someone more advanced, not beginners.
I love how this turned out, and I plan on making more!
