|Pattern Description: Misses' Dresses Cynthia Rowley Collection|
Pattern Sizing:Regular. I made a size 16
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I choose View C and I think so.
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes, except for the ties; which I thought were a little tricky, but totally due-able.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I liked the distinctive ties on the neckline and sleeves. Didn't like the low neckline with the crinkle gauze...had to add eye and hooks cause I was flashing everyone.
Fabric Used: cotton crinkle gauze. I wouldn't suggest using crinkle gauze fabric for this particular pattern.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added 3/8" of elastic and casing to the waistline. Also, lengthened torso 1"
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I am planning on sewing another version in black cotton sateen. I think it is a cute easy to wear dress, and depending on the fabric, it could be really dressy or very casual. Definitely add elastic to the waistline.
Conclusion: Cute dress, easy to wear. Please check out my
