I made view B.
Pattern Sizing: 8 - 24. I made a size 8, which is too big for me, so I altered the width significantly.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Pretty much!
Closeup of side seam insets and front pocket
My crotch curve, after altering (I am a butt-less wonder.)
Were the instructions easy to follow? I only used the instructions for the front pocket, and they were very good. These are a quick sew!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The wonderfully interesting seaming and the cool front pocket! I also like the slim fit and the tapered leg. They skim the leg, but are not tight fitting.
I didn't modify the length of the pant and they fit me perfectly. If you are taller than 5'5" or have long legs, you might need to lengthen.
Fabric Used: A stretch woven that washes and wears beautifully. Because it's an anthracite color, the details are hard to see in some of the pics.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I wanted a close fit, so I took my well fitting Style Arc Barb pants and laid the pattern on top of the size 8 Vogue. I removed a significant amount from both the front and back crotch and also from the front width. My alterations ended above the knee, so the pant below the knee and the length of the pant are as designed by Vogue.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? YES!! I love these. I can see making several more pair, especially once I get a nice fabric. I didn't top stitch this pair (I didn't want to in this fabric), but it would be cool to top-stitch them, in a different fabrication.
Conclusion: A great pant!! I love it when Marcy releases new pants patterns! More on the blog.
