Toddler sleeveless dress with box pleats.
Toddler pattern and the sizing is about right.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes now that I know how to use bias binding it is easy! However, this was my first attempt at using it so it took me ages to figure out how to do it properly. I accidentally used double fold rather than single fold and this got me all in a bit of a muddle. However, this was my lack of experience rather than the fault of the pattern. It was also my first attempt at putting in a zip but it was an easy pattern to practice on and I had no problems.
I also had a wee bit of a problem sewing the ribbon on at the end - I didn't hold my box pleats flat underneath and they got a little caught up and don't sit as flat as they should do.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
It was quick to cut and sew as it only required three panels and no facings.
A fine corduroy with a child's birdie print.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes! I would like to try one of the other views with a bodice next time for a change.
A quick little girl's dress that is simple and would be great for showing off a nice piece of fabric that doesn't need a lot of fussy cutting or embellishing. I am looking forward to making this again.
