Toddler's long and short sleeve blouse, pants and wrap cardigan.
I made the size 2 for my 18 month old and it is a little big for her just yet but will fit nicely in the next 3-6 months.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, although I used a very different light-weight acrylic knit rather than a jersey knit as in the photo which makes it look very different - essentially it is the same.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes. Very simple and easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked how quick and simple this pattern was. It also allowed me to make a little cardigan that almost looks knitted but it was a lot quicker and cheaper than knitting!
A very light-weight acrylic knit.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I added a small piece of velvet ribbon to the back of the neck between the shoulder seams to try and firm it up a little as the fabric is so flimsy. It tidied up the seam as it was very difficult to sew such a light-weight fabric and the holes in the fabric design made it look a little untidy. The velvet ribbon just finishes it nicely.
I may yet add some elastic to the wrist band to bring the sleeves in a little as they are quite flared. I will wait to see how it goes when she starts wearing it.
Next time I think would make a fake bow instead of the tie and perhaps tie and stitch the bow and then use a little snap to join the two sides.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes! I would like to try it with a more stable jersey knit. A great little top for summer.
A great little top for small kids. This would be a really good little top for either a boy or girl as baby as an extra layer in cooler weather.
