A reversible sunbonnet for babies, toddlers and kids in sizes 0 - 8+ with piping.
From the pattern maker's website: "The reversible sunbonnet sewing pattern includes detailed step by step instructions on how to make this adorable bonnet with piping around the brim and band. Instructions include color photographs and full-sized pattern pieces for EIGHT sizes (wow!) for babies and children. Seam allowances are included on all pattern pieces. Hints on sewing with piping and modifying the pattern for better fit are also included!"
The pattern comes in sizes 0 - 8+. I made the 1T-2T and it fit my 1-year-old perfectly.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
So easy! The instructions were great. I'd never made my own piping before but after this I will be piping everything (well, not everything, but lots!)
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
This is a really quick project and it's very easy to sew. Love the results!
Quilting cotton. The fabrics are Floral Meadow and Curvy Stripe from the Storybook Lane collection by Kelly Lee-Creel for Andover Fabrics.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None! The pattern calls for two fat quarters, but you'll need a third fat quarter if you make your own piping and seam binding.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
My baby will be a little out of bonnet range next year, but I'm looking for a good excuse to sew it again. It's too cute not to make a second time. Highly recommend!
