Dress in two lengths with sleeve variations or tunic sewing pattern. I did the short sleeveless dress. Pattern Sizing:
I cut out a size 12 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, although the v neck did end up a bit lower than what you see on the model. Were the instructions easy to follow?
Instructions very well laid out and easy to follow. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved the pattern but struggled with my fabric choice. It was slippery and frayed easily. Nothing to dislike about the pattern. Fabric Used:
Silk Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I didn't make any alternations however when/if I sew it again I will use stay tape on the neck and arm holes so to not stretch out the fabric as it ended up looking a bit gapey. Probably a good idea irelevent of the fabric choice! Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I think I might sew it again but probably not for a while! Conclusion:
Good choice of pattern if you want a dress that can switch for summer or winter (with a jacket!) and can be dressy or casual depending on the fabric choice. More pictures on my blog: Click Here
