multi-sized I cut a size 12 and added a little to the hips.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
yes except for the colour blocking.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
didn't follow them there are only two pattern pieces.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Love that there are so few pattern pieces which create a lovely looking dress.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I wanted to colour block this dress so I found the waist mark on the pattern, added 5/8" to the lengthen it, and then did the same for the skirt section. I then sewed the two pieces together to recreate the original full-length pattern piece and then over-laid the pattern pieces to mark up the darts and pleats.
I made a belt using old roller blind fabric for the stiffening, out of the grey fabric (details on my blog) . The buckle came from my stash.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Well I have made this 3 times in total now so I probably won't make it again, however I did buy some white to make this so you never know.
Great pattern, easy to put together and I would highly recommend this.
