Pattern Description: It's So Easy Bags with two variations. I made both.
Pattern Sizing: One Size
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes - both views.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes. Very straignt forward. This is such an easy bag (no pockets, zippers or anything challenging) that I don't really know how they could be confusing.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Quick and easy to sew.
Fabric Used: Cotton wax cloth purchased in Ghana by my father for me to make something for each of my sisters.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: For view A I could only find 8" bamboo handles instead of 7 1/2". I don't know if that made it a little tougher to sew the handles in or if it would have been a little tricky with the right size too. Using a narrow zipper foot and going slow helped and the bag came out very cute.
For view B I added top stitching around the opening/ties, I used a jumbo snap instead of velcro and I used my serger to sew the bottom in and finish it.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I'm happy with how this came out, so, yes I would sew it again if I wanted to make a quick and easy gift. I think if you are a beginner this would also be a good first project. There's no frills, but it makes a cute bag and has pretty clear instructions.
Conclusion: My sisters all seemed to like these cute bags, which I made with a matching wrap skirt for the beach. And my dad was happy that I sewed up the fabric he gave me.
