This is a coverall pattern in infant sizes. I made the equivalent of 6 months.
This is a multi-sized pattern.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
I think so! Given my photo doesn't have a live model yet and the colors are different.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
You know, I read through the directions and then promptly left the magazine in a hotel room four hours away! I called housekeeping hoping they'd found it, but no such luck. So, I had to wing it. I gave details for the construction order on my blog. Hope I didn't forget too many of the steps!
Just a note: There are no visuals with the instructions and even though I'd read through them, I still think the pieces and way this made sense to construct to me makes this more than a beginner pattern.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Styling--easy access to dress baby in the winter months
Lining--the entire garment is completely lined and no seams show at all! It looks very professional when completed.
The lining is cut slightly smaller than the shell and sewed with a deeper seam allowance to ensure the lining doesn't gap. Love this!
Very little slip-stitching--just at the neckline to keep the hood lining from rolling while I sewed.
Shell: Cotton twill
Lining: Terry cloth

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None really to the design or fit. I didn't have enough of one color of snaps so I used the red on the upper front and yellow on the bib portion. I also used just a few more than the pattern picture.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Oh yes! As long as I can get another copy of this issue so I can retrace the pattern in other sizes, you bet I'll make this again. Also, I figured out how to construct it given just looking at the photos so the next time it will go together much quicker. I just think you need to have some previous experience sewing to be able to successfully put this together with good results.
Fun little pattern! I had a great time sewing this and can't wait for the newest little man in my life to wear it!
