Misses’ dress in two lengths with sleeve variations or tunic sewing pattern. Cynthia Rowley Collection.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the shape of the dress and the subtle gathering, not so crazy about the VERY low neckline!
A navy cotton batiste, I embroidered the midriff band.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Raised the neckline by a good inch (and it's still a bit too low to wear without a top underneath the dress). Took some length out of the bodice.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I'll try a different pattern for the next maxi dress I make, and the kneelength or tunic length don't really appeal to me, so I'll let this one rest for a bit. It's a very comfortable dress though, and perfect for summer!
I like how it turned out, but feel like this isn't the perfect dress for me. Not the kind of dress I want to fill my wardrobe with, but a nice one to have made!
