|Pattern Description: Fitted, lined dress, above mid-knee length, has princess seams, midriff, straight skirt, back zipper, slit and topstitch trim.|
Pattern Sizing: Combinations: AA(6-8-10-12), EE(14-16-18-20)
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, I believe it did.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, the ones I followed were.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I liked the styling of the dress, especially for my client's body type.
Fabric Used: I used a Stretch Satin that My client brought to me for this particular style dress.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Although she did not send a picture of the back of the dress, I inserted a double center pleat instead of the centered side pleat in the back. I also added a clear nylon snap in the front neckline. Next time I make this dress I will add an iron on underlining, such as fusible tricot, to the bodice front (the bodice is in 3 section; front, middle front and side front). This will give it body so that it will stand.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I would if commissioned to do so. I wouldn't make it for myself.
Conclusion: This is a very nice dress; I love the way the lining is sewing in. The styling works well for a slender figure.
