Beautiful prom dress and your DD looks very happy to be wearing it. I think this pattern is stunning -- my DD initially chose it for her wedding dress, but then changed her mind.

Your daughter looks radiant in her beautiful gown. Thanks so much for the timely review. I am proposing this dress to a friend for her wedding, and we were wondering about how to handle the train- whether to bustle or use a loop.

Very beautiful dress! Your daughter looks simply awesome on this special day. Just wondering what all the adjustments besides the FBA did you need to do and how did you accomplish them.

TO GEORGEANNE: I would definitely use the handle for this train. It's not a long train and I think it would compromise the effect of the design to bustle in any other way. I will try to post a picture of the underside within a few days to demonstrate what I did. I think it would make a very elegant wedding gown. TO RYAN'S MOM: To alter for a fuller bust cup, I got on the internet and found an article by Sandra Betzina. (http://www.voguepatterns.com/vpm/sandra/todaysfitm.html) It shows how to alter for princess seams. The bodice of this dress under the overlay has princess seams. I also made sure to redraw the armhole so that it fit her properly because that was correct on the muslin. I then transferred what I did to that to the foundation and overlay. The overlay has two tucks and I just split the increase between the two of them. Making the muslin and trying out different things with that REALLY helped. It takes longer, but the results are fantastic! I can't say it enough because everybody is different and it helps make the pattern custom for each person. The dress eded up fitting her perfectly! Also on the back I had to make a dart at the top and bottom of the bodice and take it in 1/4 inch on each dart. By looking at the muslin, it sagged and the dart was the only way to get it to fit and still have enough room for her back. I think I spent as much time altering it as I did sewing it. It was hard to find time to get my daughter to stay still for five minutes at a time to try it on. I hope that helped. I'm not an expert on fitting, so it's trial and error with the muslin for me.

Very nice, your DD & her date both look great. Good idea on the train handle. Making a muslin really can make a huge difference; I'm slowly learning that. :)
