Child's sleeveless A-line dress with three variations. I made view B in a size 3. Pattern Sizing:
Sizes 3 to 8. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, except of course for the difference in colour and the trim. Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, although I didn't always follow them closely. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked the button closure on one shoulder which should make it easier for a child to put this on. I really like the ruffles on view B - so cute for a little girl - but also having the two other variations makes this pattern a good wardrobe builder.
While it's economical having several sizes in one pattern, I always find it a pain to search for the required pattern pieces in the size needed. Need to develop more patience! Fabric Used:
Cotton print with eyelet trim. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Except for adding eyelet trim to the bottom of each ruffle, I followed the pattern. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Oh yes. I'm planning to sew a colour-blocked version in orange, green and purple. It sounds very bright, but I think the finished dress will look lively without being gaudy. Conclusion:
A versatile and stylish pattern that isn't too difficult to sew.
