Pattern Description: A flattering and curvy dress. Includes a bodice fitted with darts, along with a contrasting top yoke, sleeves, and narrow midriff band
Pattern Sizing: I made a sz 18 with adjustments
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Well the bodice does
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes they are fine
Fabric Used: Cotton sateen and an interlock knit for the yoke
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I've made this a couple of times before and had previously changed the bodice to a princess seams one by using the bodice from the Colette Eclair dress. I also used a knit yoke instead of a woven which meant sizing down to a 12 for the yoke. The sleeves have been lengthened as well and I finished off the sleeve hem and the neckline with a band which is topstitched down.
The skirt is a full circle skirt with the pockets from Simplicity 2588 in it (the pockets are inseam ones but the top of them is sewn into the waistband so they can't flap around.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes and Yes!
Conclusion: Its a great dress pattern, I've made it twice before and as a top and its my go to dress
