I have just come across this beautiful dress via another review. It is immaculately sewn but, like you, I am completely the wrong shape for it - hips too wide and bum too big. Ha, ha

Ha ha so funny - my sympathies are with you on this but trust me you will be so pleased once you have finished it - one tip I would say is to take the pattern piece for the neck edge and do all the folding on that first to see how it goes - I did a bit of head-scratching on that, and to be fair its the most difficult bit. If you use the wool crepe serge the edges first because it frays like made - I loved mine and I am sure you will look stunning in yours - for my 2nd version I never put a zip in because it was quite stretchy.
