View C: Pullover top with armhole and sleeve self-binding; extended shoulders form cap sleeves, detailed front seaming, back key-hole opening with button and self loop
4-18 (I cut a 4)
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, this is a pretty straight forward top
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I do like the finished product but it took too much work to get to this point.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I pieced the front sections together and removed 10" out of the width and 3.5" out of the length. I divided the reduction in width equally between the center front (back), in the middle of the front and back pattern pieces and the side seams. As a makeshift SBA, I took a 1" dart below the bust line tapering to nothing at the side seam. I did a 1.5" sway back adjustment and raised the armhole 1". The back was cut on the fold. I changed the application of the bias binding to flip to the inside instead of the outside as the directions say.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Maybe, now that I have the pattern finalized. If you are looking for a very oversized top, then go for it.
I probably could have learned how to draft this top in less time than it took me to get it to fit.
