|Pattern Description: |
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, enough; I actually sewed on the mittens backward (but this doesn't make a difference) and I added a minky collar and neck panel instead of using bias tape
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, except for the mittens part
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
- it was easy to follow
- I'm really pleased with the outcome, although I did make some modifications
- I believe the sizing was off slightly - the neck area seemed huge after I put it together, so I altered the shoulders slightly to make the neck area smaller, as well as added a minky collar. Also, the pattern does not call for a lining of any type, so I added a minky crescent shaped piece on the inside of the neck/back area so that baby's skin wouldn't rub against the inside seam of the fleece
Fleece and minky
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The pattern called for using bias tape around the neck. Unfortunately the only bias tape I could find was made of 100% polyester and I wanted something softer, so I made my own collar out of minky.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, definitely would recommend. It is an easy enough pattern to alter, which is nice.
