Thanks for the review, the tips for teh bias fabric strips and serging the ruffle. I have this pattern, and will make it up now, I had been putting it off cause I thought it looked alittle boring...but seeing your colorful version has changed my mind.

So cute on your dd! Love the ruffles. Was going to put some on some capri pants for dgd, but was too lazy. Yours look great! I've heard about gathering with the serger, but haven't had the nerve to try. Maybe I should.
