Oliver + S calls it a simple raglan tee with a chest pocket. I turned it into a rash guard for my little girl. Pattern Sizing:
I used size 2t. Most of Oliver + S patterns are quite slim in fit ( in a RTW way), but this pattern is more unisex. I sized down from her measurements especially since I was making it for swim. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Not really, but it clearly is still a simple raglan tee. Were the instructions easy to follow?
Absolutely dead easy. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
It is drafted extremely well, as all of the Oliver + S patterns all. Fabric Used:
Nylon Lycra swimsuit fabric from Michael Levine. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I added 1/2" of height to the neckband to more closely mimic the style of a rashie. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, yes and yes! I will absolutely use it again. I have both size ranges in the pattern- that's how useful I expect it to be during my daughter's youth. We live near the beach, so we will always need sun protective beach clothes! Conclusion:
