The Moss is a semi-fitted skirt that sits slightly below the natural waist and works up well in a variety of fabrics, from denim to wool to corduroy and many fabrics in-between. Skirt features a fly front and button closure as well as a yoke at the back. If mini isn't quite your style, add the hem band to create the longer silhouette of View B or use the hem band to get a little fancy like this.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, the instructions were great. Although, this was my first front-fly zipper and while the written instructions were good, they were great assisted by the Grainline tutorial.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked the clean lines and how easily this skirt comes together.
Burgandy/brown (or black) stretch cotton twill from FFC.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I extended the waistband so that it overlaps slightly in the front. waistband extension
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and yes. It is a great great pattern. Now onto the Archer shirt!
Comfortable, easy to wear, casual yet fitted. More info/pictures on my blog.
