Fashion Accessories - Adult and Childrens' Aprons
Combination: Misses (S-M-L-XL) and Kids' (3-4, 5-6, 7-8). I made a kids size 7-8.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
It looked very similar to the pattern.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, the instructions were very easy to understand.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Likes: I liked most everything about the pattern, at least the kids version of the pattern.
Dislikes: It's not a dislike but rather a suggestion. Depending on the fabric used, it would probably make sense to add a lining to the apron, perhaps making it reversible. I used a relatively light-weight cotton for my daughter to use as her art smock for school. Although I love the final product, it wasn't until I was almost finished with the apron did I realize it probably would be more durable if it had a contrasting cotton lining. Oh well, I remember to add it next time.
Cotton from Jo-Ann's.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I didn't add the ruffle to the bottom of the apron.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would definitely sew it again and would highly recommend it to others!!
This was a fun project that my daughter will use on a regular basis.
