Pattern Description: Lined dress has close-fitting bodice with princess seams, semi-fitted skirt, and invisible back zipper.
Pattern Sizing: 6-22 with A-D cup sizes
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Not really, I made a bustier, not a dress.
Were the instructions easy to follow? I didn't use them so I can't comment.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like that it can serve as a basic strapless princess seam bodice block. It's also nice that it includes cup sizes so you don't have to do a FBA.
Fabric Used: Poly satin for shell and lining, muslin for boning layer, and lace for overlay.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made 4 muslins before I got the pattern to fit the way I wanted it to. I also added a few inches to the length to turn the bodice into a bustier. I moved the zipper from center back to the left side.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will definitely use this pattern again. I now have a great fitting princess seam bodice.
Conclusion: I love the variations in the pattern and the custom cup sizing. I am thinking about making the peplum version next...
